Online league management system Project Abstract

1 INTRODUCTION

The following subsections of the Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) document provide an overview of the entire SRS. This document fully and formally describes the requirements of the “ONLINE LEAGUE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”. It sets out  the functional and non functional requirements and includes a description of the user interface and documentation and training requirements.
The main objective of the project is to create a sports league management system that help registered institutions or clubs to conduct sports leagues. They any can conduct any types of sports leagues, invite teams to participate into the league. It helps to schedule the games, manage facilities and provide live updations of each game. The system maintains the history of all the leagues. The product will be web based and interactive.

1.1 Purpose

The Software Requirements Specification (SRS) will provide a detailed description of the requirements for the Online League Management System (OLMS). This SRS will allow for a complete understanding of what is to be expected of the HMS to be constructed. The clear understanding of the OLMS and its’ functionality will allow for the correct software to be developed for the end user and will be used for the development of the future stages of the project. This SRS will provide the foundation for the project. From this SRS, the OLMS can be designed, constructed, and finally tested.

Online Sports League Management System developed for the end user and will be used for the development of the future stages of the project. This SRS will provide the foundation for the project. From this SRS, the Online Sports  League Management System can be designed, constructed, and finally tested.  This SRS will be used by the software engineers constructing the System and the end users. The software engineers will use the SRS to fully understand the expectations of this System to construct it. The staffs will be able to use this SRS as a “test” to see if the software engineers will be constructing the system to their expectations. If it is not to their expectations the end users can specify how it is not to their liking and the software engineers will change the SRS to fit the end users’ needs.
The purpose of the SRS document is to describe the external behavior of the Online League Management System. Requirements Specification defines and describes the operations, interfaces, and performance and quality assurance requirements of the Online Sports League Management System. The document also describes the non functional requirements such as user interfaces and the design constraints. The SRS captures the complete requirements for the system.

1.2 Scope of the project

According to recent studies, "As the Internet gains widespread acceptance throughout the world, people's dependence on the internet will grow", so it is essential for all sports leagues and teams to have an online presence or meeting place in  order to function in today's world. The Online League Management System provides the ability to connect teams, coaches, captains, players, parents, and fans all in one place while effectively managing your league Online League Management is a term used to refer to the means of  effective communication. With a well managed sports league, everybody knows what is going on. To be really effective at league management, conveners rely on essential tools to help do their jobs.

Online Sports League Management System The software product to be produced is a Online League Management which will automate the major sports league management operations. The system is designed in favour of the sports league management which helps them to save the records of the leagues and game details such participants, dates, places, winners. It helps them from the manual work from which it is very difficult to find the records of the all the league details. The Online Sports League Management suppose to have the following features:

• The system is desired to handle all the leagues conducted by clubs or institutions
• Institutions can conduct leagues after registering into the website. They can schedule games , invite teams etc.
• The system will have the ability to manage games, scheduling leagues, live updation and live streaming of games, creating team profiles and picture galleries.
• The system is able to store all the records of the leagues.
• Public can rate the players or team according to their performance.
• The system also provides online ticket booking.
• Communicate directly to everyone
• Easy-to-Update - Simple browser interface allows you to easily update game information online.
• Quick Setup - Easy-to-use setup wizards for creating new teams and events - Coaches can create their own players and bios
• Keep players informed of games
• Communicate Faster

When games are cancelled or online schedules are updated, we instantly notify everybody on the teams. Captains/Coaches no longer need to worry about contacting every player on their team individually. With a team main page, players can see when and where their next game is.

1.5 Overview

The SRS is organized into two main sections. The first is the Overall Description and the second is the Specific Requirements. The Overall Description will describe the requirements of the OSLM from a general high level perspective. The Specific Requirements section will describe in detail the requirements of the system.
