Property management system project abstract

Introduction

This document fully and formally describes the requirements of the “PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”. It sets out the functional and non functional requirements and includes a description of the user interface and documentation and training requirements. The main objective of the project is to create a tracking system for properties like Houses and Lands for buy. Our proposed system serves as an aid for both property searchers and property holders. The PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is highly interactive and taken as an adaptive approach as compared to the existing system along with a set of advanced tracking features. The product will be web based and interactive.

Purpose

The Software Requirements Specification (SRS) will provide a detailed description of the requirements for the PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. This SRS will allow for a complete understanding of what is to be expected of the system to be constructed. The clear understanding of the system and its functionality will allow for the correct system to be developed for the end user and will be used for the development of the future stages of the project. This SRS will provide the foundation for the project. From this SRS, the Property Management System can be designed, constructed, and finally tested.
This SRS will be used by the software engineers constructing the System and the end users. The software engineers will use the SRS to fully understand the expectations of this System to construct it. The staffs will be able to use this SRS as a “test” to see if the software engineers will be constructing the system to their expectations. If it is not to their expectations the end users can specify how it is not to their liking and the software engineers will change the SRS to fit the end users’ needs. The purpose of the SRS document is to describe the external behavior of the Property Management System. Requirements Specification defines and describes the operations, interfaces, and performance and quality assurance requirements of the Property Management system. The document also describes the non functional requirements such as user interfaces and the design constraints. The SRS captures the complete requirements for the system.

Scope of the project

The product to be produced is a Property Management System which will automate the different property tracking and advertising. The system is helpful for normal users who search for properties, and property holders. It helps the users to view the property pictures, track the location etc. The Property Management system supposes to have the following features:

The system is desired to handle all the activities for a real-estate organization.
The system will provide the users to search properties,, advertise property, buy property etc.
Provides the administrator to control over all management of the system.

Overview

The SRS is organized into two main sections. The first is The Overall Description and the second is the Specific Requirements. The Overall Description will describe the requirements of the Property Management  System from a general high level perspective. It comprises the heads such as property searching, account handling and property characteristics. The Specific Requirements section will describe in detail the requirements of the system.
